The studio is based in the same building as our workshop, both teams work closely together on projects from start to finish. This means we are well positioned to take on projects where print, design and physical objects come together.
Creative Carpentry / Joinery, We have large scale tooling for a variety of creative build processes. Traditional joinery machines such as dimension saws & planer thicknessers work alongside the latest computer controlled CNC & metalwork machinery, to handle everything from one-off furniture production to batch manufacturing work.

Sam Kennedy has a background in Sculpture, cabinet-making and design. After graduating from BA Sculpture course at Glasgow School of art Sam worked for a number of years as a cabinet maker before moving to Stockholm to study an MA in furniture design and interior architecture. He worked independently as a furniture maker in London joining commissioned by you in 2015
Irene Gavaldà, educated in Barcelona, has spent time as Creative Director for international fashion brands in the UK and the Middle East and now runs the CBY Graphic Design studio.
Aiko Kubo has a background in design and Textiles art. After graduating from Nihon University College of Art with a degree in Industrial design, Aiko worked for a number of years at Keyuca in Tokyo, designing and modeling furniture and homeware for production. In 2010 she moved to Stockholm to study MA Textiles at Konstfack university college of arts, before moving to London in 2015. Aiko combines her role at Commissioned by You with her practice as a textiles and furniture designer.
