JENKI MATCHA Bar

CBY were commissioned by JENKI MATCHA to make the furniture and interior of London’s first ever dedicated Matcha bar on Brushfield street, Spitalfields market.

The bold eye catching bar design, by Ruby Kean, was carefully and seamlessly crafted using beautiful ALPI engineered wood veneers on its’ vertical faces, while the bar-top was made from black Valchromat. Taking inspiration from Japanese tearooms, the walls were painted with a limewash blue checkerboard pattern, and the furniture was finished using a vivid colour pallette of (matcha) greens and bright blues.
